Maddy brings her background in nonprofit communications and storytelling to the Intervale Center. She is passionate about supporting Vermont farmers and strengthening community resilience in the face of climate change. After earning a bachelor's degree from UVM, she worked and volunteered on urban and rural farms in Vermont, California, and abroad, eventually returning to UVM to earn a Certificate in Sustainable Farming. She recently earned a master's degree from the Columbia Climate School, where she studied climate policy and communications with a focus on regenerative farming systems.

Maddy can usually be found outside hiking, skiing, camping, or biking across Vermont. She also loves to bake (and eat) cookies, paint, and take her dog Fern on walks.
